My fave track is Blues 2021...it requires your full attention without skipping as the whole album does really...I love the actual sounds incorporated in the samples you can hear the actual guitar strings...sounds become textures...I love the sound-scapes created and the bass on Hairy elbows is one of the sexiest sounds that have ever entered my inner ear!... Favorite track: 2021 Blues.

My first album in 8 years, and one that I am immensely proud of.

I fell out of love with recording my music, and the longer I didn't record, the harder it became to find the enthusiasm. I'd found other ways of working on my mental health, so music ultimately took a back seat. I would occasionally pick the guitar up and play it, but even that became a chore as I became less proficient.

In April of 2021 I started the process of uploading all of my previous albums to Bandcamp, and it made me realise what a huge part of my life music was. Around July the same year I started messing around with a few riffs and samples that I had.

It took me a few more months to get the sounds I wanted again. I upgraded my DAW to ACID Pro 10 as a result I stopped using my mixer. Instead I invested the time to get my ZOOM R16 audio interface working correctly. With that in place I set about remembering how to record and play.

I had no intention of this being a new album, I was just enjoying the process again. Encouraged by my partner Vicky, I took time to craft the songs slowly. In the past I had very much worked with the attitude of "that'll do" whereas with these songs if I was unhappy with something I would return to it. Again and again if necessary until I was happy with the results.

So with all that said, although I am not the guitarist I was, I believe this is musically the most accomplished album that I have ever created.
