Having grown up with electronic music I had always wanted to create an album without any guitars. I didn’t think I’d have the ability to make an interesting dance based album, but I did feel I potentially had an ambient album lurking in me somewhere. I acquired a copy of reason 5 and set about trying to learn how to use it. I got to grips with the basics, and I would say that these compositions are the results of that study of the software. In hindsight, as ever, I would do it differently, and I’d take more time to figure out more complex musical structures.

With all that said, I like aspects of the album. There are some nice melodies and ideas within many of the compositions.
